ROW

Gives the number of current row or of the reference if mentioned.

Syntax of Excel Row formula:
=ROW([reference])

In words:
=What is the row number(of this cell reference)

Explanation

[reference] argument is optional and if left out then function will give the number of current row where it has been inserted.

Examples of Excel Row formula

=ROW(HS76) will give 76
=ROW() will give the row number where formula is inserted
=ROW()+1 will add 1 to current row number
