  1. I’d also like to add, make sure your child doesn’t have a vision or heanrig problem. My own son was labeled ADHD at 4 years old. He had developmental delays and sensory issues as well. When he was 5 I took him off medication after he had some bad reactions to ADHD medications. When he was 7 years old I had his vision checked after he refused to read chapter books on his reading level because he said , the words moved around the page too much, He was diagnosed with extropia and convergence insufficiency. His eyes do not team when reading, and his brain cuts off some visual cues when he tries to focus on things. Vision therapy has greatly increased his ability to focus and his grades are improving!
