Firms invited to go out amid downturnPublished: 12 Aug 2009 09:02:01 PSTBy Tu Lei China will continue to encourage enterprises to pursue overseas trade and technology cooperation even during the global recession, the Ministry of Commerce said yesterday.“The financial crisis made global assets drop down, leading to a decline in investment and mergers costs. Moreover, some countries and regions have launched measures to attract overseas investment and remove past political barriers, which is a good chance for our enterprises to go out,” Fu Ziying, vice-minister of commerce, said yesterday at a news conference held by the State Council Information Office. With this open policy, Fu said, $2,100 billion in foreign exchange reserves provide sufficient assets for Chinese enterprises to explore overseas.Fu also said at the press that the government will review existing import and export fees and drop those deemed burdensome to Chinese companies in an effort to help them boost external demand.Fu said China would encourage foreign investors to explore high-tech, environmental protection and modern service industries, and to support trans-border trade. He also said the ministry will further simplify procedures concerning investment approval.Fu made the remark a day after China Customs released export and import figures that both declined in July.“Although China has shown an up momentum, the prospect for the global economy remains unclear and external demand is still under high pressure,” Fu remarked.“In the short term, expanding domestic need is still restrained by different elements, and local demand is unlikely to provide a full remedy for the shrinking external demand,” he said.Fu warned the nation’s exports in the second half of this year would still face difficulties, given the ongoing global recession, rising US savings, and greater protectionism. GM almost succeed in retaining Opel brandPublished: 25 Aug 2009 18:52:06 PSTFinally sources told Reuters that General Motors Co is considering a plan to raise funding to keep Opel as an alternative to selling the unit to Magna International. GM’s new board of directors rebuffed Mr. Henderson’s recommendation to sell Opel/Vauxhall to a consortium of Canadian auto supplier Magna International Inc. and a Russian bank and car maker last Friday, and executives at GM are beginning to consider other options, including raising more than $4 billion in a bid to keep Opel. Because GM is barred from using funding from the U.S. government for its international operations, one of the options could include raising money by selling or mortgaging the automaker’s assets in China, a claim shortly denied by GM China, which told Gasgoo that it is merely speculation because GM’s China unit is one of its most profitable business in the world and its not sensible for GM to sell it.Full Story即日 融資 Waterproof socks 現金化 web制作 カード 現金化 口コミ クレジットカード 現金化 ショッピング枠 現金化 -

It is BOCHK’s first ever half-year loss, sources said.In addition, BOC, the world’s third largest lender by market value, realized profit of RMB 64.36 billion (US$9.33 billion) last year, up 14.42% year on year. The profit surge is an effect of continuously rising business revenue, strict control on operation costs and the reduction of the income tax rate, said the mainland lender.Copyright © 2009 http://www.chinaknowledge.comSend feedback or comments to: [email protected] more news, financial weekly reports, business guides to China and other premium information, subscribe to China Knowledge today: To access our page on Bloomberg, type CKFI Related TopicsChina News过滤器 競馬予想 网络电话 FX 比較 カード 現金化 クレジット 現金化 クレジットカード現金化 被リンク -

CRISIS FOCUS: In a Tight Spot Published: 03 Jun 2009 23:33:46 PSTWith chilly headwinds blowing through a number of sectors, the global economy is undoubtedly entering a downward cycle. More disturbing, though, is the slack emanating from an aging society that is posing a headache to countries of the world. China is no exception, with its population bonus expected to dry up around 2015. Ha Jiming, chief economist at China International Capital Corp. Ltd., discussed these issues in an article recently published in the Shanghai Securities Journal. Edited excerpts follow:Over the long term, economies throughout the world, especially the developed countries, will be confronted with a handful of challenges. One concern looming over the developed countries is that their economies are heading for a prolonged recession. To cushion the economic shock, they have resorted to zero interest rates and quantitative easing, whose effects have so far turned out to be invisible. For example, the broad monetary supplies of the United States have been soaring in recent months, but its economy is still in a slump. In another move, the deep downturn has forced Western governments to take on heavy debt in a bid to sustain their massive economic bailouts. But repaying these debts may require higher tax rates, putting a damper on the already anemic economy. In addition, the marked easing in global finance has sowed the seeds for future inflation.By 2010, most developed countries will have to deal with the problems of an aging population. Labor shortages and heavier taxes will put a huge drag on economic growth and government solvency. While the current U.S. economic gloom is more a result of the financial debacle, the future downturn will have its roots in the country’s social and population structures. In coming years, the U.S. economy may grow at 1 to 2 percent year on year, well below the 3- to 4-percent growth it enjoyed in the past. For China, the boom times of double-digit growth rates may never come back since the population bonus is expected to fizzle out around 2015. The rising cost of labor and the deceleration of urbanization are its biggest stumbling blocks. The country’s current top priority is how to make up for the decline in exports and put economic growth back on a more sustainable footing. The following are three options to widen the source of growth.First, step up measures to spur consumption and expand domestic demand, such as lowering taxes and improving social security systems. To offset the squeeze on its balance sheet, the government can issue bonds to overseas investors.Second, China needs to widen the channels for private investment and the private sectors as it did 10 years ago. In 1998, the country opened up its real estate sector, boosting investment in property-related industries like iron and steel, cement and coal. Now it’s time to revamp the pricing regime of key resources and allow more private capital into state-controlled sectors such as medical service, education, media, railways and electricity. This would add fuel to the investment boom, and at the same time create more jobs.Third, to warm up the economic climate, it is also imperative for China to accelerate the urbanization process before the aging population problem slows it down.分散机 競馬 深圳旅行社 薬剤師 求人 カード 現金化 クーポン クレジットカード 現金化 口コミ ペニーオークション -

China’s foreign contractual projects rise 24.8% in Jan-FebPublished: 17 Mar 2009 01:47:55 PSTMar. 17, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said Monday that the country’s turnover of overseas contractual projects surged 24.8% from a year earlier to US$7.96 billion during January and February, in spite of the global economic recession. In the same period, volume of newly contracted projects jumped 68% to US$23.7 billion, said Yao Jian, spokesman of MOC, who attributed the surge amid the financial crisis to the large scale infrastructure construction under the economic stimulus packages in many countries.Yao said that Chinese firms have gained wider experience in investment in foreign projects. Many firms began doing business with developing nations in Africa and Latin America. They also switched their focus from labor-intensive industries to technology-intensive sectors such as electric power, oil refining, telecommunications and metallurgy.Copyright © 2009 http://www.chinaknowledge.comSend feedback or comments to: [email protected] more news, financial weekly reports, business guides to China and other premium information, subscribe to China Knowledge today: To access our page on Bloomberg, type CKFI Related TopicsChina News合法ハーブ 搅拌机 乳化机 現金化 比較 カード ショッピング枠 換金 キャッシング クレジットカード 現金化 比較 テレクラ -
