Pakistan going mainstream in IT products

Pakistan now has its VERY own
+ ebook reader to read on,
+ a tablet PC to stay mobile and
+ a notebook to work on!

Commercial Products Manufacturing Cell (CPMC) a join venture of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra (PAC) and INNAVTEK has launched IT products for the first time in Pakistan starting with PAC PAD 1, PAC eBOOK 1 and PAC nBOOK 1.

These times when you are told about nothing good of Pakistan as if nothing good is happening in Pakistan or Pakistan is all behind on technological frontiers then today we have all that for which you can be proud of.

A brief history

Talking about how it all started, we have to once again mention Pak-China friendship which is at the very core of this venture. PAC is not a new name for Pakistanis and if you don’t know than just remember that is PAC which has developed and now manufacturing JF – 17 Thunder fighter aircraft in collaboration with China. PAC with all its expertise and resources available at its disposal decided to enter commercial market and rightfully selected IT sector which definitely required serious attention.

To achieve this dream, a joint venture between PAC and Innavtek has been established named CPMC.

Current Products and Future Plans

Although the products have already been made available to customers by the end of 2011 or beginning of 2012 but not even us were in the knowledge of this landmark. But luckily we got in contact with Mr. Maqsood Arshad and had a little chat for which we are extremely thankful to him. However, for the time being we are focusing on the three products i.e. PAC PAD 1, PAC nBOOK 1 and PAC eBOOK 1.

While discussing the products and their features and how they stand against other products from big brands and especially “Chinese made” products Mr. Maqsood said, “All our products come with 1 year warranty. As we all know that many ‘Chinese’ products are without any kind of warranty or after sales support. From that perspective our product stands out as it keeps the customer covered as spare parts and other things will also be available

When asked about how to buy the products he told,”Currently these products are displayed and available in Rawalpindi only and customers can come and buy these products easily. However, for customers in other major cities like Lahore and Karachi we are still sorting it out how to have these goods delivered. We have been in discussion with TCS but so far things are not finalized but this is definitely on our roadmap“.

At the moment, customers can place order by filling a form at CPMC’s website. One can also reach them at [email protected] via email or using skype with an id: pac.cpmc.

PAC PAD 1 – Price: Rs. 15,500

PAC PAD 1 is a tablet pc based on Android operating system. PAC PAD 1 is currently available with the specifications given in the following table.

Future Plans

Talking to Mr. Maqsood Arshad, he said, “We have received a good response from customers and we are taking customer’s feedback in consideration as well. For example, many customers asked to upgrade RAM from 256 to 512 for smoother experience to which we are surely looking forward. And we are expecting that by next 2 months or so we will be offering PAC PAD with even more attractive specs including a newer Android 2.4 OS“. He added,”We are also looking forward to implement GSM socket in PAC PAD for complete mobile experience“.

Even for a moment we forget about what is promised in next 2 months, PAC PAD 1 is going to perform as we already have PTCL’s 3G EVO Tab in the market.

You must surely be thinking which one is better between the two then, well we are leaving that to be discussed in near future INSHALLAH TALLAH.

  1. To me, the best thing here is the ebook reader PAC eBOOK 1

  2. What I have seen in terms of computer stysem memory is that there are features such as SDRAM, DDR etc, that must match the requirements of the mother board. If the computer’s motherboard is pretty current and there are no computer OS issues, modernizing the storage space literally requires under a couple of hours. It’s on the list of easiest computer upgrade processes one can envision. Thanks for giving your ideas.

  3. Yet another thing I would like to mionetn is that in place of trying to accommodate all your online degree courses on days of the week that you end work (as most people are exhausted when they return home), try to have most of your sessions on the saturdays and sundays and only 1 or 2 courses in weekdays, even if it means taking some time away from your saturdays. This is beneficial because on the weekends, you will be much more rested plus concentrated upon school work. Thanks alot : ) for the different recommendations I have figured out from your weblog.

  5. Next version of PAC eBOOK 1 should be with Wifi so that we can easily access online books…..need of the hour if it is possible. Appreciate the effort. Thumbs up.

    • I presume just about evethrying invented crafted a a lot of open impression. Regardless, feel regarding this, assume that your family additional a compact critical information? As i ain’t indicating your information shouldn’t be nice, of course expect customers more an issue that procured human beings special attention? I am Blog page Organize testing will be type vanilla flavour. It is important to overall look around Yahoo’s front page to discover how they achieve announcement the news to discover listeners in order to really click. You try adding youtube videos or maybe cam as well as multiple to seize people interested using what you have got to announce. I feel, this keep your postings a touch more lively.

    • I think that what you posted made a ton of sense. However, think on this, ssupope you were to create a killer headline? I mean, I don’t wish to tell you how to run your blog, but what if you added something that grabbed people’s attention? You should glance at Yahoo’s home page and note how they create news headlines to grab people to open the links. You might add a video or a pic or two to grab people excited about everything’ve written. In my opinion, it would bring your website a little livelier.

    • AnonOK, that was a bit more than I wanted to know.I take it you bieelve if gold bugs get what they want, as in sound (gold-backed) money, war must come. And so because war is so bad, gold bugs are mistaken because they must not have realized the inevetable outcome if their wishes come true? You seem to indicate that war will occur, and raping of the planet will occur, anyway, even without a return to sound money.Personally I don’t care about the possibility of war. I don’t care about the risks of anarchy. I want anarchy. Stateless society. Freedom in its truest sense of the word.I want to own my own land, and not have to “rent” it from a corrupt government. I want to enjoy the fruits of my own labor. I want to be able to build up a surplus for rainy days, and not have to worry about it quickly becoming worthless.I want freedom from do-gooder socialists that think they know better how the world should be run than the free market. I want freedom from oppressive government, tyranny of the majority.I don’t care if the planet is harmed as humanity grows and finds its way. I don’t care if here and there a species is wiped out. I don’t care about global warming. I see humanity as the only valuable thing on earth, since only humans appreciate the earth. Only humans know it’s valuable. Without humans, without human intelligence, the earth is meaningless.Whatever form intelligence will take, it being life, it will grow its numbers exponentially. That is what live does. It will grow until it exhausts resources. Resources as in energy, water, raw materials, whatever. This is inescapable. This is what life does. It bangs up against some natural limit.Except intelligence, unlike bacteria or dumb animals, can figure out solutions. All problems are temporary. This universe we live in is full of energy, full of raw materials, waiting for intelligence to come along and use it. This earth is a tiny dot on a limitless ocean of untapped wealth. It’s just a stepping stone. I get sick, so sick of whiny, environmentalist, glory in the good old days, harmony of nature types who think there is a way to turn back the clock. I love techology, science, I embrace it. I don’t yearn for simpler times. I yearn for less stress. For me government is a source of stress. People wishing to fight progress are a source of stress.Humanity must advance, or stagnate. Most humans appreciate the beauty of the earth. Humans allowed to own part of the earth and profit by their part and enjoy the benefits of it without someone (the government) stealing it will protect their part of it.Technology, which you seem to hate and fear, is the solution. Cheap space travel. Colonizing space, other planets. How crowded will earth be when people can go live in the sky? The earth will seem a boring place. I’d love to get off this damned rock, with its socialist oppression. How wonderful when one could just “Go west!” to escape the tyranny of the majority. It’s so disgusting. For me a return to sound money, gold, means governments can’t do whatever they want whenever they want anymore. That’s why I want it. To limit government oppression and growth. A return to free markets. Freedom. This environment is the only one capable of achieving the things you want also.Central planning never, ever, ever, ever works. It is a lie. It is just a way a select few can hold onto power. Humanity wants freedom, not centralized control. And it will have freedom.

  8. Thank you,
The information you shared is very informative

    • A lot of the things you say is atnsoishingly precise and that makes me wonder the reason why I hadn’t looked at this with this light before. This particular piece truly did turn the light on for me personally as far as this subject matter goes. Nevertheless at this time there is one particular point I am not too comfy with and while I attempt to reconcile that with the core idea of the position, let me observe just what the rest of the subscribers have to say.Well done.

    • Hi there to begin with thank you for that post bb Down Les Princes de Sang, it unquestionably was a fattnsaic read, I aslo happen to totally agree with you, now for the cheeky part could you tell me exactly where you host your internet site it loads extremely fast for me personally. 9. These are great news for all pakistanis, the built in capacity of pac ebook is not given and where can we get these products.

    • I precisely wiehsd to say thanks all over again. I am not sure the things I would’ve worked on in the absence of those hints provided by you relating to this field. It truly was the difficult circumstance in my view, but being able to see the very specialised avenue you handled the issue forced me to jump with delight. I’m just grateful for your service and thus hope that you realize what an amazing job that you’re doing training men and women via your web blog. Probably you’ve never encountered any of us.

    • I’ve been building wtebiess for a while now like 10 years, haha. Just for fun of course. Nothing major. But some people have seen my work and suggested I start a website building business or some sort. How would I go about doing this? I don’t know a whole lot about servers and such but I’m a very fast learner. Could anyone give me a heads up or point me in the right direction of some information on this?.

  10. Very good news for Pakistanies. I am eagerly waiting for a tablet with a bigger screen 9 to 10 inch and with a latest version of android.
